Industrial Tulips

2012-05-17  Every Spring the fields around Pownal, PEI are lit up with the colours of thousands of Tulips. These fields from the Vanco Farms are famous the world over.

Its a challenge to try and capture in camera some of the over-whelming color they produce.

The surrounding cities and towns are blessed with donations from Vanco that spruce up the intersections.

Well I mentioned they were Industrial Tulips, that means the bulbs are more important than the pretty flowers. So only a short time later they are “harvested”.

Now the only colour is on the ground and lining the rows.
