2014-07-21 Following the 2014 Atlantic HOG Rally in Saint John, a group of about 30 HOG members met up in Bangor Maine to begin the ride to the National HOG Rally in Kingston, ON.

SXM 2014

2014-04-24 During our 2014 trip to the Island of Sint Maarten in April we saw a lot of familiar scenes. (see photoset for SXM_2013) However, this year we also took in a tour of the nearby island of St. Barts.

Kauai Vacation Photos

2014-03-29 Last week we spent 8 days visiting the island of Kauai, HI.
While the weather on the North Shore wasn’t that great (cloudy/damp), we did manage to get some good photos with my new Nikon D610. On the South side, as predicted, it was sunny and clear, which allowed for much better photos on those outings.

Nikon D610

2014-03-11 After much research and thought, I decided to upgrade my gear ‘to the next level’. That meant a new Full-Frame camera body and some new FX lenses. As with many things involving technology, the ‘law of diminishing returns’ has a significant effect. The better your gear is, the more expensive it becomes to move to the next level.
For Landscape work, I felt it was worth it, and the time was right.

So this set has some of my first selected shots with the new D610. I was able to use my existing 70-300m long zoom to complement the new 24-120mm F4 lens.

PEI Biathlon 2014

Bar Harbor Harley Ride

2013-09-17 Our last big Harley ride was to Bar Harbor, Maine.
An easy day ride from PEI with time left in the day for a run up Cadillac Mountain for 360 degree views of the Island, and a beautiful sunset.

Harley Ride around Nfld

2013-07-17 The 2013 Regional Rally for the Harley Owners Group was held in St. John’s Newfoundland. The set shows our Harley ride from PEI to St. John’s via Argentia ferry then across the island to return via the Port-aux-Basques ferry.
