2016-02-07 The Winter of 2015-2016 was very mild compared to last year. While it was still cold, the huge piles of snow did not happen this time. So these images from Jan and Feb 2016 are less about the snow drifts and more about enjoying the clean clear air of Winter. A walk around Victoria park in Charlottetown, or out to the North Shore is popular all year round.

Victorian Christmas 2015

2015-12-05 While the Winter of 2015-2016 was slow to start, the City of Charlottetown tried to get us in the Christmas mood with an event called the Victorian Christmas Market.
Added to the Victorian Christmas album are some more “Winter” images thanks to resent ice and snow storm.

Last Ride 2015

2015-11-07 Most years my last Harley Ride of the season occurs in mid-November. The 2015 Last Ride was no exception, but this year I was riding my new 2015 HD Ultra. So extra shots were taken on this sunny and crisp Fall day at Tracadie Bay, PEI.

Greenwood 2015

2015-10-24 For the past number of years we make a trip down to Greenwood NS in the Fall. This year’s trip included a drive out to the Fundy coast at Margaretsville.

HOG-toberfest

2015-10-03 A special Fall ride this year had HOG members from PEI, NB and NS join together for a scenic event called “HOG-toberfest”. We met up at the Harley Dealer in Moncton (Toys-for-Big-Boys), at noon for a BBQ. Then some scenic rides around the Fundy area. I took a separate stop at Hillsborough to see the Train and aircraft museum. It’s about half-way from Moncton to Hopewell Cape.
We all stayed at the Hopewell Rocks Motel which is right next to the entrance of Hopewell Cape park.
That night about 40 HOG members enjoyed a full dinner at the Broadleaf Ranch.
The next morning we toured the Hopewell Rocks at low tide before heading home again.

Snowbirds Media Flight

2015-08-20 A local photographer friend, Stephen DesRoches, asked me if I would help him document his media flight with the RCAF Snowbirds. Of course I said YES. It involved 2 full days of following him through the process of medical checks, equipment fittings, emergency procedures, and a full briefing with the Snowbird pilots.
My album listed below has some of the images I took and provided to Stephen for his blog.

On day 3 of this adventure, we were at the Slemon Park airport for the ATLANTIC CANADA INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW.
The former RCAF Summerside Air Base is an ideal spot for an airshow and it was great to have it back here again. My album of that event includes images of static displays, a Jet truck race, parachuting, SAR helicopter, amazing aerobatics from various performers, and finally the world famous Snowbirds.

PEIHOG at ICMP

2015-08-16 Members of the PEI Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (PEIHOG), rode to Freetown PEI for a dedication ceremony at the International Children’s Memorial Place.
The group photo shows the bench that PEIHOG donated to this park.
Other images show the rebuilt dam, and inside the old power station of Scales Pond.

2015 Atlantic HOG Rally

2015-07-11 This year the Harley Owners Group held it’s Atlantic Regional Rally in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The album shown below has images from our trip over on the ferry, the evening walkabouts on the Halifax waterfront, as well as Harley games at the HD dealership.
